Football fans will have to wait seven weeks to bet on another game (USFL), but basketball fans don’t have to wait at all. The NBA has ten games on the schedule for tonight, giving bettors plenty of options. But where should they focus their attention?

We’ve identified the following as our best bets for Monday, Feb. 10.

Best Bets Feb. 10: NBA

San Antonio Spurs vs. Washington Wizards

The Spurs are not a great team at 22-28, but the 9-43 Wizards are easily the worst team in the NBA. Back in November, these two teams played a high-scoring but relatively close game, 139-130, San Antonio. But both teams have made some roster moves since then.

However, the Wizards will be down several key players for this game, while the Spurs are relatively healthy. If Washington were 100%, this would be a tough call, but they aren’t.

Victor Wembanyama, OVER 24.5 points at -102 (FanDuel)

He is not going to score 50 points. But after a couple of lackluster outings in his last two games (16 and 18 points), Wembanyama is due for a big night.

Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The Jazz are a rebuilding team that is just trying to find out what they can about the players on the roster. They have not been a good road team this season (7-21), losing their last nine away from home. The Lakers are a solid home team (18-6) and may be especially motivated for this game.

Why? Because it will mark the debut of Luka Doncic in a Lakers jersey. It’s a big spread (-12.5), and Doncic probably hasn’t established chemistry with his new team. But, in spite of that, the Lakers will have no problem taking care of an injury-depleted Jazz team at home.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

The Timberwolves enter tonight’s game, having won three in a row and eight of their last ten. But there is a chance they will have to face the team with the second-best record in the NBA down as many as three key players: Anthony Edwards, Julius Randle, and Mike Conley.

Both Edwards and Conley are listed as questionable for the game. Randle has already been ruled out.

As for the Cavs, their new acquisition, De’Andre Hunter, is expected to make his debut with the team. However, Cleveland will be without the services of Isaac Okoro (shoulder) and Dean Wade (knee).

If the T-wolves were healthy, the Timberwolves would make it interesting. But down Randle and possibly Edwards and Conley, too, Minnesota will not have the firepower to keep up.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

We have the worst team in the Western Conference (Pelicans) playing the best team in the Western Conference (Thunder) in Oklahoma City. Is there any doubt as to how the game should go? Oklahoma City will win this one, but will they cover?

Oklahoma City won the first two meetings vs. the Pelicans, one by 18 and the other by 10. So, they would have covered the 14.5-point spread for this game in one but not the other. But the Thunder are riding a five-game win streak heading into this game and have won eight of their last ten.

New Orleans does not have enough firepower to stand up to the Thunder. Oklahoma City should win this one easily and by a wide margin.
