Women's Selection Sunday: 68-team NCAA Tournament bracket announced

On April 6, one women’s basketball team will take home the 2025 national title. The 68 teams with a shot were announced on Sunday’s selection show.

UCLA earned the No. 1 overall seed for the first time in program history, benefiting from its regular-season win over South Carolina and Big Ten Tournament title win over USC. The Gamecocks are also a 1-seed, but the defending champions enter the NCAA Tournament with something to prove.

Texas grabbed the third No. 1 seed, while USC edged out UConn for the final 1-seed. The Trojans and Huskies could be set for a rematch of their December showdown, which USC won 72-70.

The women’s March Madness Tournament is set to begin on Wednesday, March 19 with the First Four games. And the First Round will commence on Friday, March 21.
