Twinkling Watermelon is a 2023 K-drama, starring Ryeoun, Choi Hyun-Wook, Seol In-A, and Shin Eun-Soo in lead roles.
The story revolves around high school student Eun-Gyeol whose family is deaf. While he loves them, he also wants to follow his heart to pursue music. One day, he fights with his father Yi-Chan, and enters a mysterious music store while wandering the streets. He time travels to the time when his father was a high school student.
Keeping his identity secret, he forms a band with Yi-Chan and a few other members. He also meets his mother, Chung-A, and learns about her abusive childhood. Eun-Gyeol changes his parents’ future with the help of Choi Se-Kyung, who also has time-traveled to the past. The series can be watched on Viki.
Destined With You
Destined With You is a 2023 fantasy drama, starring Rowoon as Jang Shin-Yu and Jo Bo-Ah as Lee Hong-Jo.
It is the story of lonely civil servant Hong-Jo and successful lawyer Shin-Yu. Fate brings them together after Shin-Yu finds an old wooden chest. Its owner is Hong-Jo who now has the power to lift the curse from Shin-Yu. A magic spell goes wrong and Shin-Yu falls for Hong-Jo. Soon the magic turns into real love between the two but their past stops them from being together.
The fantasy drama is one of Rowoon’s best works as an actor. Destined With You is currently available on Netflix.
Alchemy of Souls
Alchemy of Souls is a 2022 drama that has two seasons. The first season stars Lee Jae-Wook as Jang Uk and Jung So-Min as Mu-Deok. Mu-Deok is an elite warrior who gets stuck in a weak body. When Jang Uk meets her, he knows that a warrior’s soul I strapped in the girl’s body. He makes her his servant in order to save her and asks her to teach him how to fight.
Season 2 of Alchemy of Souls sees the return of Lee Jae-Wook as Jang Uk but the female lead is Ko Yoon-Jung as Jin Bu-Yeon. Bu-Yeon is Mu-Deok but she has lost her memory and her face changes after an accident. Fate brings them together, however, Jang Uk takes a lot of time to discover the truth.
Aside from the aforementioned cast, Minhyun, Yu Jun-Sang, Yoo In-Soo, Jo Jae-Yun, Shin Seung-Ho, and Lim Chul-Soo also played pivotal roles.
Doom At Your Service
Doom At Your Service is a 2021 K-drama, starring Park Bo-Young as Tak Dong-Kyung and Seo In-Guk as Myul-Mang.
Dong-Kyung finds out that she has 100 days to live and thus curses the universe. Her wish comes true as Doom himself knocks on her door. Myul-Mang tells her that he will grant her last wish but she keeps avoiding him. Myul-Mang’s life turns upside down as he gets emotionally and romantically involved with her.

Goblin is one of the most high-rated fantasy K-dramas, which is available on Netflix as Guardian: The Lonely and Great God. It stars Gong Yoo as Kim Shin, Kim Go-Eun as Ji Eun-Tak, Lee Dong-Wook as Wang-Yeo, and Yoo In-Na as Kim Sun.
The 2016 series is about a 940-year-old goblin Kim Shin who is in search of his bride. She can only remove the sword from his chest and lift the curse, sending him to the afterlife. His wish to leave Earth changes when a school student Ji Eun-Tak enters his life and claims that she is the chosen one. Aside from them, the second couple is grim reaper Wang-Yeo and chicken fry restaurant owner Kim Sun. All of them are connected through their past lives.
