Tundra Esports and Team Spirit won for the third day in a row on Monday in FISSURE Universe: Episode 4, becoming the first two teams to clinch playoff berths in the event.

The $500,000 Dota 2 tournament features a group stage using a modified Swiss system for 16 teams through Wednesday. All matches are best-of-three. The top eight teams advance to the playoffs, and the remaining teams are eliminated.

The playoffs on Thursday through Sunday use a double-elimination bracket. All matches are best-of-three until the grand final, which is best-of-five. The winning team will earn $250,000.

On Monday in matches featuring teams that had started with two wins, Tundra Esports edged Team Liquid 2-1, and Spirit swept Gaimin Gladiators 2-0.

In matches involving teams that split their prior two contests, Team Tidebound topped Aurora Gaming 2-0, PARIVISION bested BOOM Esports 2-0, Team Falcons got past Talon Esports 2-0, and BetBoom Team blitzed Night Pulse 2-0.

In the day’s two elimination matches featuring teams that were winless through two matches, 1win dumped M80 2-0, and Wildcard ousted One Move 2-0.

Tundra opened with a 41-minute win on red before Liquid claimed a 26-minute victory on red. The decisive third map went to Tundra, playing on red, in 38 minutes.

Bulgaria’s Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov paced Tundra with an average 8.3/4.3/8.3 kill-death-assist ratio. Sweden’s Michael “miCKe” Vu wound up at 11.0/4.0/6.3 for Liquid.

Spirit grounded Gaimin Gladiators in 65 minutes on green and 44 minutes on red. Ukraine’s Illya “Yatoro” Mulyarchuk starred for Spirit with an average 10/4/18 K-D-A ratio. Kazakhstan’s Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov finished at 9.0/6.5/7.5 for Gaimin Gladiators.
