FOX unveiled a new trailer ahead of the 2025 IndyCar season — which kicks off in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 2 — during Super Bowl LIX starring “can’t-miss TV” Pato O’Ward.
The popular 25-year-old O’Ward came in second in the 2024 Indianapolis 500, his second runner-up finish at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in three years. His most recent win came in the first race of the 2024 Hy-Vee Milwaukee Mile 250s. O’Ward is a driver for Arrow McLaren.
Beginning this season, FOX is the exclusive home of the IndyCar Series and the Indianapolis 500. All 17 races will be aired on FOX networks with the season concluding on Aug. 31 at Nashville Superspeedway.
This is the third preview spot FOX has dropped ahead of the new season, with the first featuring Josef Newgarden — who won the 2017 and 2019 series championships and has won each of the past two editions of the Indianapolis 500 — as well as a cameo from Tom Brady.
The second centered on three-time series champion Alex Palou. He put together a memorable 2024 season on the way to winning the series championship, becoming just the 13th driver in history to win three series crowns. Palou is also only the seventh driver to capture three titles in four years.
On the racing front, FOX networks will also air the first 12 races of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season — including the Daytona 500 on Feb. 16 — as well as the NASCAR All-Star Race.
