Today on Sky Sports Racing: Racing from Plumpton and Wolverhampton

We have plenty to look forward to on Monday with competitive action from Plumpton and Wolverhampton, live on Sky Sports Racing

3.15 Plumpton – Sole Solution, Kamsinas and Jilaijone feature

The Fergal O’Brien-trained Kamsinas is lowering his sights here in the BetGoodwin Sussex Stayers Handicap Hurdle, having competed in top-end handicaps at Ascot and Haydock. He has been dropped 1lb for the disappointing run last time but if he was to bounce back to his Haydock form, he would be dangerous to discount for the Noel Fehily Racing Syndicate.

Sole Solution chases a hat-trick in today’s renewal after breaking his maiden tag at Hereford and duly obliged in a handicap for the first time. He is up 5lb for the shrewd Venetia Williams outfit and warrants a second look.

The David Pipe-trained Jilaijone was last seen behind Samuel Spade at Ascot a few weeks ago and lines up here off a 2lb higher mark. He seems to have found his form of old and could be a big player today.

4.22 Plumpton – Demoiselle Kap chases hat-trick

Jennie Candlish seems to have found the key to Demoiselle Kap having only been with the yard since the beginning of the month but has already racked up two wins, over hurdles and fences. She’s 11lb higher today but could be tough to beat if arriving here in the same form.

Nick Gifford will be hoping that first tie Cheekpieces will work for Koenigsstern after a disappointing run last time. He’s still 4lb higher than for his previous win but the new headgear could help to eke out some more improvement.

5.30 Wolverhampton – Maharajas Express and Nelson Gay clash

David Probert and Ian Williams are always a dangerous duo to discount, and they team up again with Maharajas Express in the BetUK It’s Where The UK Bets Handicap after their success last time. He returns here off a 4lb higher mark and should go well having ran well off higher marks previously.

Nelson Gay won last time out too for the Michael Dods’ yard and won going away. He’s up 3lb for that and warrants respect.

Miggy Magic will likely go well for an in-form Michael Keady. He has been a shade unlucky since joining the yard but has hit the frame on all four starts. He’s only been nudged up a pound for that sequence and it will only be a matter of time before he gets his head in front.

Best of the rest

1.40 Plumpton

The opener at Plumpton features some useful flat performers with Nap Hand and Under The Sun setting a useful standard but both will be bidding to open their accounts over obstacles in what looks a competitive heat.

Syllabus hasn’t been seen since October 2023 and is set to make his first appearance over hurdles for Emma Lavelle but also ran to a useful level for William Haggas. Ben Jones has been flying of late and he takes the ride.

3.50 Auteuil

Auteuil are staging what looks an open Grade 3 in the Prix Juigne Hurdle and Kloth Of Utopia returns to the scene of his latest win, having ventured to British shores for his last two starts.

Pistache Dore sets a decent standard having run well in Grade 1 company on his last start but he should find this drop back in class much more to his liking.
