By Aishwarya Paliwal: As a part of its progressive communication technique to enhance voter share, the Election Fee launched a tune ‘Most important Bharat Hoon’ which might be performed in film theatres throughout the nation.

On Friday, a cinema corridor in New Delhi’s Jangpura performed the tune throughout the film interval to enchantment to voters to forged their vote and fulfil their constitutional obligation.

The outreach tune, produced in collaboration with the Subhash Ghai Basis, was unveiled on Nationwide Voters Day.

Throughout the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the voter turnout was 67.4 per cent. For the 2024 elections, the ballot panel is rising the voter turnout. CEOs (Chief Electoral Officers) of states have been given instructions to push the tune of their respective states.

The Hindi model of Most important Bharat Hoon tune options singers Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Sukhvinder Singh, Kavita Krishnamurthy, Hariharan, Javed Ali, KS Chithra, Kaushiki Chakraborty and Ustad Rashid Khan.

Film stars and cricketers — Anil Kapoor, Siddharth Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi, R Madhavan, Mohanlal, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas lyer, Shubman Gill — have featured within the tune.

The main target is on focused intervention for marginalised voters, third gender, susceptible tribal teams, youth and girls.

Subhash Ghai, who roped in 9 singers for the Hindi model of the tune, instructed India As we speak, “It took me three months to complete lyrics, music and audio-visuals. It was tough to accommodate so many requests from ECI in a 5-minute creative.”

“The Election Commission had some reservations regarding casting stars who are politically-inclined, so we zeroed in on stars who have a neutral standing,” he added.

The filmmaker mentioned nationwide curiosity is supreme and that’s the message of the tune. The work on the tune started 4 months in the past and Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, who spent 2,000 hours on conferences, conceptualisation, lyrics and music of the tune, needs voters to know their nationwide obligation.

“The song is dedicated to each voter who takes cognisance of his national duty and casts his vote, beating all odds. We want the song to inspire new voters,” CEC Rajiv Kumar mentioned.

Delhi Chief Electoral Officer Ranvir Singh mentioned the tune might be propagated by means of ringtones, social media, TV spots, cellphone ringtones and even merchandise within the run as much as the 2024 common election.

The tune is one such initiative of the Election Fee’s (EC) Systematic Voters’ Training and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, which is the flagship voter schooling programme targeted on inclusion methods and motion plans for enhancing participation from all classes of voters.
