My Happy Ending episode 14 begins with a massive and shocking revelation. The episode showcases what happened to Baek Seung-Gyu. After finding the building where he had been staying, Kwon Yoon-Jin (So Yi-Hyun) and Yoon-Jae arrive there. Then in a fit of rage, Kwon Yoon-Jin slits Baek Seung-Gyu’s throat with a knife. Thus, Seung-Gyu succumbs to his unfortunate death. Yoon-Jae then hits Yoon-Jin to make her look like another victim at the crime scene. Together, they frame Nam Tae-Joo for the murder of Baek Seung-Gyu.
In episode 14 of My Happy Ending, later on, Seo Jae-Won (Jang Na-Ra) finds out about the whole situation. She is quite rattled by Baek Seung-Gyu’s demise. She is sure that Yoon-Jin is behind his death, and she is also trying to frame Nam Tae-Joo for the murder she committed. In the meantime, Nam Tae-Joo goes into hiding as the police are looking for him, including his classmate Detective Oh Soo-Jin.
The My Happy Ending episode then discloses another significant fact. Nam Tae-Joo knew Seo Jae-Won’s mother. She is the person who lured Nam Tae-Joo into the world of gambling. Because of her, he also lost a lot of money, property, and even his wife, who passed away. Later on, in episode 14, the news of Jae-Won’s father’s (Seo Chang-Seok) arrest comes out. He has been arrested on the charges of murdering his wife. It is true that he could have saved her but hesitated as she was a terrible wife and a mother.
Jae-Won is unaware of this. She talks to her lawyer to take care of her father’s case. However, the case becomes more complex as, at that time, Seo Chang-Seok avoided the autopsy procedure on his wife. In the meantime, in My Happy Ending episode 14, to take revenge on Kwon Yoon-Jin for her betrayal, Nam Tae-Joo sends Jae-Won a video clip that proves Kwon Yoon-Jin’s involvement in Heo Su-Young’s (Son Ho-Jun) death. In episode 14 of My Happy Ending, Seo Jae-Won sees Kwon Yoon-Jin kidnapping Heo Su-Young with the help of Nam Tae-Joo in the video footage. She sees her husband tied to a chair and being mentally tortured by Kwon Yoon-Jin. She is furious about the fact that Heo Su-Young wanted to save his marriage with Seo Jae-Won at any cost.
Thereafter, Kwon Yoon-Jin calls his father to the kidnapping spot. He arrives there along with Yoon-Jae. He then ends up killing Heo Su-Young by poisoning him. Jae-Won completely breaks down after watching the video footage in episode 14 of My Happy Ending.
At the end of the episode, viewers see Jae-Won’s father’s case being investigated and judged at the court. Jae-won is present there as a witness in the case. Although she tries her best to defend her father in front of the judge, her testimony is not completely accepted by the court due to her mental illness.
The lawyers keep on asking her about her illness, making her father feel quite emotional and uneasy. He can no longer stay calm and then goes on to admit that he murdered his wife. The episode ends right there.
